Qanstruct Tenancy Fit Out
Qanstruct¡¯s new workplace at 87 High Street, Kew, blends health, connection, and performance in a thoughtfully designed space that supports both people and the planet. Set within a three-storey office building with basement parking, the fit-out integrates traditional office spaces with wellness focused amenities, including a gym and an auditorium with a stadium-style seating area for team presentations.
We supported Qanstruct from initial site inspection through to construction, providing electrical, mechanical, fire protection, acoustics, smart building, energy, and specialist lighting services. Our first step was to assess the condition and potential of the existing services. Some were suitable for reuse, while others, like the mechanical system and main switchboard, needed upgrading to meet the performance and comfort standards of a modern workplace.
To enhance indoor quality, we designed daylight harvesting lighting controls to make the most of the natural light. We chose a 3500K colour temperature, over the conventional cool white typically used in offices, to create a more inviting environment. Ceiling space limitations meant we had to make design modifications during construction without comprising the original intent.
In the Wellness Centre, acoustic treatments were carefully planned to minimise noise transfer to its surroundings. We also integrated solar photovoltaics (PV) into the existing site for the purpose of energy resilience through on-site generation. Such PV systems offset daily demand by reducing emissions and creating energy cost savings. The result? A high-performing space that meets Qanstruct¡¯s needs now and into the future¡ªand a workplace that they¡¯re proud of.
