Ãë²¥ is a designer on the new Douglas Commercial Land Port of Entry, which will boost economic growth and enhance border security
In southeast Arizona, Ãë²¥ recently joined project partners and leaders from all levels of government to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Douglas Commercial Land Port of Entry (LPOE). Ãë²¥ is part of a design-build team for the US$275 million project, which will increase safety and efficiency for commercial transportation at the US-Mexico border.
The new facility will enhance border security and boost economic growth across the region. With new inspection facilities, expanded capacity, and cutting-edge technology, the port will be a vital gateway for international commerce. The new LPOE will also alleviate traffic at the nearby Raul Hector Castro LPOE, which currently processes both commercial and non-commercial vehicles. Construction of the Douglas LPOE is anticipated to be completed in fall 2028.
