Ashland, Virginia
Affectionately known as the "Center of the Universe" by residents for its location within Virginia, Ashland is just over 20 minutes north of Richmond, and 90 minutes away from both Williamsburg and DC. As a turn-of-the-century railroad town, RF&P Railroad originally developed it as a resort for Richmonders. Today, these tracks still send trains rumbling through the center of town, past Randolph-Macon College, lovely historic homes, and many unique eateries.
Our Ashland team has been here for decades, providing both private and public clients with environmental engineering services throughout the commonwealth. We focus on hazardous materials (hazmat), water supply/exploration, and brownfields assessment, remediation, and redevelopment services, among others.
Always with an eye on our communities, we help safely clean up and sustainably reuse contaminated properties. We¡¯ve worked closely with the Virginia Department of Transportation on multiple hazmat projects and supported the EPA¡¯s Brownfields Program, helping to put previously contaminated properties back into productive use.
Jason Early, Senior Associate, Senior Hydrogeologist
I focus on developing reliable and sustainable groundwater supplies for municipalities, agriculture, and industry.
