Rhonda is passionate about unpacking the complex and inter-connected nature of land use, urban design, and transportation to guide an integrated planning and design process, right sized for each community. She approaches community planning with a strong belief in the power of place and the importance of human scale.
Working with communities of all sizes and scales, Rhonda specializes in transit-oriented development and brownfield redevelopment. From commuter rail and light rail to bus rapid transit, she¡¯s been involved in site selection, corridor planning, community integration, and station design. Her experience with brownfields centers around returning underutilized and sometimes vacant sites to more productive use. She¡¯s collaborated with local partners to create area wide plans, spelling out vision and action plans for local revitalization, as well as examining reuse options at the single-parcel level.
Away from her urban planning work, Rhonda enjoys the outdoors year-round. Having put down roots in Colorado in 2001, she loves to travel and explore, especially if the adventure includes a bicycle.?
