With nearly 20 years of design experience in the transportation industry, Sergio is a bridge engineer who takes great pride in contributing to innovative solutions for projects that improve road networks.?He considers himself a lifelong learner and aims to take away new tools and knowledge from every project.
One of Sergio¡¯s most memorable projects involved the design of a four-mile (six-kilometre) widening project of Interstate 83 (I-83) through an urbanized area in York, Pennsylvania. This afforded him the opportunity to participate in designs that will not only improve safety and functionality but also enhance the local community and improve their quality of life.
When he isn¡¯t busy with engineering efforts, Sergio enjoys researching and planning new outdoor experiences with his wife and their two children. He appreciates the active leisure of camping and hiking in wooded mountain settings but also welcomes relaxing in a beach chair.
