With more than 20 years of experience, Melissa has worked on a range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Her focus is currently on wet weather-related projects to reduce or eliminate sewer overflows that impact the water quality of natural waterways. Melissa¡¯s advocacy of sustainable infrastructure further informs her work to positively impact the communities supported by her projects.
While Melissa¡¯s assignments are wide-ranging and complex, her goal remains the same¡ªto fulfill the needs of client and community. She recently developed an operation and maintenance policy for a client¡¯s pipeline penetrations of a local levee system. This had to be done on a tight timeline using non-invasive and non-destructive technology for the local community to maintain its flood protection system accreditation. Thanks to Melissa¡¯s Ãë²¥ and application of innovative water pipeline assessment technologies, the community¡¯s accreditation was preserved.
In her spare time, Melissa enjoys travelling with her husband. She¡¯s been known to skateboard with her son or bicycle with her daughter, and enjoys going for jogs with her dog or doing pilates.?
