Inspired by a lifelong love of nature and family trips to national parks, Helen pursued a degree in geography to explore why things are where they are¡ªfrom large scale patterns of how we interact with our environment to small-scale ones like where does a certain species of bird nest and why.
A geographic information systems (GIS) analyst, Helen has nearly 15 years of experience supporting a wide range of projects. These include city planning initiatives, conservation easement dedication, wind farm impact studies, cell tower routing, and cultural resource surveys. Her Ãë²¥ includes spatial data generation and analysis, environmental constraints data gathering, and the design and production of cartographic maps and digital mapping applications.
When she¡¯s off the clock, Helen enjoys being outdoors with her husband and young child¡ªbirdwatching, tending to her pollinator-friendly garden, and simply soaking in the natural world.
