A regulatory specialist and environmental planner, Ken began his career as a fishery biologist at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, after which he served as the hydropower program coordinator for the northeast region of the US Fish and Wildlife Service. Now, with more than 25 years of experience, he has extensive knowledge of all aspects of hydropower licensing and compliance.
Ken excels at guiding settlement discussions among diverse groups to help them reach consensus. He believes that treating all parties with respect is the first step to finding solutions that satisfy everyone involved. He has brought this philosophy to multiple hydropower project proceedings, successfully achieving consensus across agencies, landowners, nongovernmental organizations, and licensees with competing interests.
When Ken isn¡¯t working on hydropower projects, you can find him hunting or beekeeping¡ªhe¡¯s harvested up to 450 pounds of honey in a year.
