Managing large alternative delivery transportation projects is much like coaching a competitive sports team. With more than a decade of experience in both, Rob specializes in putting together a winning team. Whether it¡¯s a variation of a design-build, construction manager at risk, or a public-private partnership (P3) project, he¡¯s honed his ability to be an organized, resourceful problem-solver.
Rob draws on his deep understanding of all facets of engineering projects and applies it to his work on everything from planning and environmental studies to final design and post-design services. Recently, he led the development of several alternative technical concepts to improve the operating sight distance at a new interchange. This project also involved eliminating excessive cut and fill slopes and reducing ramp lengths¡ªsaving hundreds of thousands of dollars while meeting client goals and objectives. He¡¯s also led similar complex solutions for public transportation departments across the US.
When he¡¯s not managing people and projects, Rob enjoys golfing, sports card collecting, and walking his two dogs Russell (named after his favorite actor) and Chewie (named after his favorite character). He¡¯s also an active member of the American Council of Engineering Companies and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
