As manager to the traffic engineering team in our Burlington office, Fred and his group support a number of transportation projects in the region¡ªfrom operational and safety analyses to the design of traffic signal systems, signs/pavement markings, and temporary traffic control plans. Fred also manages several projects including an on-call signing contract with MassDOT, roadway projects in Worcester, and projects for RIDOT and CTDOT.
A perfect example of Fred¡¯s work is the Burns Bridge replacement for MassDOT. Fred was responsible for managing the roadway design components including traffic, permitting, and lighting. Not only was it a signature project, but it¡¯s essentially in his own backyard¡ªa perfect example that Fred can talk about when asked ¡°what do you do?¡±
