Wanda¡¯s interest in engineering began at a young age, when she constructed tunnels in the sandbox for her toys and pets to roam through. Later, with a nudge from a high school guidance counselor, she decided to turn that interest into a career.
Today, Wanda has over 30 years of experience working in the transportation and infrastructure sectors. Aiming to promote a safe and reliable transportation network for clients, she encourages engaging and challenging transportation conversations to foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovative solutions within the industry. As a senior transportation manager for our Transportation group, she¡¯s responsible for a multidisciplinary team that delivers transportation infrastructure projects for the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOOT) in the western part of the state.
Transportation is never far from Wanda¡¯s mind, even when she isn¡¯t busy with work. She loves to visit other places and see how other states and countries do transportation. She¡¯s also into home DIY and, along with her husband, is currently renovating their home room by room.
