He¡¯s led projects involving contaminants such as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), polychlorinated biphenyls, herbicides, pesticides, petroleum hydrocarbons, and metals. He¡¯s adept at working with all interested parties, including agencies, landowners, and affected communities.
A highly experienced hazardous building materials inspector, Doug is also a certified asbestos inspector, management planner, and lead professional. In recent years, he¡¯s investigated multiple PFAS impacted sites throughout Alaska, developing strategies to adequately define the nature and extent of the impacts and designing and implementing remedial actions.
When he isn¡¯t busy reclaiming and remediating contaminated sites, Doug enjoys backcountry skiing, traveling to remote destinations, and cabin building.
