Alan is a technical leader within Ãë²¥¡¯s geotechnical engineering practice. He takes on complex problems requiring advanced analysis, design, quality control, and project execution. His areas of technical Ãë²¥ include soil strength, slope stability, seepage, liquefaction, and seismic performance for dams and other earth structures.
A former university professor, Alan enjoys working with engineering teams to solve difficult, real-world problems for clients. In 2012, he was named a national Top 25 Newsmaker by ENR magazine for his lead role in designing seismic containment for the re-built coal ash landfill at TVA¡¯s Kingston Plant.
