For more than 35 years, Hennie has specialized in the planning, design, implementation, operations, and management of water supply and sanitation facilities. He¡¯s worked on projects involving water and wastewater treatment and master plans, transmission and distribution mains, force mains and gravity sewers, and pump station projects that included water hammer mitigation measures.
With a current focus on the design of municipal and industrial treatment plants and piping, Hennie has led complex projects such as a 42-inch (107-centimetre) prestressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCP) water transmission main replacement and a 48-inch (122-centimetre) water transmission main relocation. He was also involved with a stormwater and fire piping project for the Gordie Howe International Bridge, one of the longest suspension bridges in North America.
When not searching for innovative ways to solve water and wastewater problems, Hennie enjoys kayak fishing on the clear waters of the Gulf.
