Seamlessly merging visionary design with practical engineering, Rory has an innovative touch that¡¯s evident throughout his work. This includes demonstration projects like the Complete Streets Makeover Program, analysis of complex intersections throughout Boston, ADA-compliant pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure for Rochester¡¯s Main Street, and safety studies for NYSDOT. His strategic insights have also supported MassDOT in securing vital grant funding for pandemic-responsive placemaking.
Rory believes that to design streets, engineers and planners need to experience the street from the user perspective. Knowing this, he has made the switch from a car-centric lifestyle to one that supports multi-modal trips.
