Growing up, Leanne was always strong in math and science. So, when it came time to choose a career, she saw a good match for her skills for a career in civil engineering. Her first civil engineering role was a co-op placement at an airport, which had great appeal coming from a family of aviation enthusiasts. After graduating, she leveraged this transportation-related experience and joined our Infrastructure Management and Pavement Engineering group. ?
As a senior pavement management engineer, she works with municipal, state/provincial, federal, and airport clients on roads, airside infrastructure, and runways. Her favorite task is presenting her team¡¯s work to the client, discussing how they evaluate roadway pavement condition, assessing future needs, and recommending budgets for their capital road infrastructure projects. Leanne¡¯s recommendations have even led councils to increase their capital road infrastructure budgets, creating greater long-term benefit for their communities.
She is also a mum to a toddler, so her current ¡°hobbies¡± include park visits, jungle-gym climbing, and reading. ?
