Network for Engineering with Nature (N-EWN) Partnership

Today¡¯s environmental, social, and economic fabric can be enhanced with the integration of nature-based solutions, also known as Engineering with Nature (EWN)?, and that enhancement is the key to future global resiliency. EWN is a planning and design approach developed by the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and the University of Georgia (UGA) that applies natural solutions and nature-based features for mitigation, adaptation, and resilience. Network for Engineering with Nature (N-EWN), a community of researchers, practitioners, and educators, is working to apply EWN to real-world applications, education, and outreach¡ªand relies on collaboration with industry partners.

Our job is to help N-EWN implement natural solutions for climate change projects.?We¡¯re participating in events and workshops, and we¡¯re contributing to promotional campaigns such as the EWN Podcast. Collaborating closely with N-EWN, we¡¯re involved in presentations on funding, a national summit with agency heads, benefit cost analysis (BCA) standardization, exploring international partnerships, and the adoption of EWN concepts into military installations.

Together, we¡¯ll use natural solutions to protect and sustain our communities¡¯ infrastructure, natural resources, and develop climate change solutions.?
