EDF Energy - Organisational Capability Support

We are proud to be EDF Energy¡¯s current subject matter expert advisors in the organisational capability discipline. Over the years, we have helped EDF Energy manage legal, regulatory, and supply chain management requirements across their entire fleet.

For EDF Energy¡¯s prospective nuclear site licensees, we support the development of an appropriate and proportionate organisational capability to demonstrate compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Through production of the nuclear organisational baseline, management prospectus, and an intelligent customer strategy, we help create a capable operator. An operator who understands their responsibility and accountability for the management of nuclear safety and environmental protection through each lifecycle phase of a nuclear development project.

We also provide ongoing support in the development and implementation of corporate governance documentation for the management of higher activity radioactive waste (HAW). This support covers the full breadth of the HAW lifecycle, from generation and storage, through characterisation, conditioning and packaging, to transport and final disposal.

Additionally, our involvement has included production and authoring of new corporate governance specifications as well as setting out key compliance requirements and expectations in multiple areas. These include operational and disposability records management, letter of compliance preparation, and development of radioactive waste management cases. We have also supported the preparation of the accompanying implementation strategies, which outlines the actions required to embed new governance into the EDF Energy management system.
